Panther Club
What Is the Booster Club?
The Pine View football booster club, or Panther Club, Inc. (its legal name), is a fund raising organization for the Pine View High School football program. It is officially a non-profit corporation. All of the money raised through the Panther Club is spent on the football program for such things as uniforms and other player equipment, upgrading the stadium facilities, football camp fees, transportation, food and lodging for camps or games outside the Southern Utah area, and at least one college scholarship each year for a player displaying unusual leadership qualities and obtaining outstanding academic marks.
The Panther Club believes that the sport of football builds character, discipline, mental toughness and respect for authority in its participants in a way that academics alone cannot do. Obviously, these qualities are vitally important, if our young men are going to be prepared to assume leadership and responsiblility as adults in our community.
We encourage the parents of players to take an active role in the Panther Club, because of the benefits it provides and because a successful booster organization requires a lot of work and effort. If you, as a parent, wish to participate and contribute, please feel free to contact us at davestott@infowest or call 435-229-3482.
