FORMER PANTHERS

Many former Panther football players have received scholarships to play football at the next level. The following is a partial list:

James Lark
Former Panther James Lark (pictured left) in action during the Utah 3A State finals in 2005. Lark, a two-time first team All State quarterback, set a state record for touchdown passes as a junior, and led the Panthers on back to back trips to the 3A state championship game. Regarded by scouts as one of the top high school quarterbacks in the country, Lark received multiple scholarship offers, but chose to remain in-state at BYU where he redshirted in 2006, and then served as a backup in 2007 before leaving on an LDS church mission.

Jesse Ence

All state Panther running back Jesse Ence (pictured right) breaks a tackle to score against Grantsville in the 2005 state semifinal game. Ence accepted a scholarship to Dixie State where he earned the starting running back job as a true freshman. He plans to return to Dixie State this fall after serving an LDS church mission.

Carter Mees
Carter Mees (pictured left) breaks tackles in the 2005 state championship game against Logan. Mees, a first team all state safety, was recruited to BYU where he redshirted in 2006.  He served an LDS mission and now has returned to BYU to resume his playing career.

David Foote

Former Panther standout, David Foote (pictured left), looks to score against Grantsville in the 2005 Utah state semifinal game. Foote led the state in receiving as a senior. He turned down scholarship offers to walk on at BYU where he earned a spot on the roster as a running back.
